What can Prevage MD do for your skin?
Applying PREVAGE MD anti-aging treatment to your face and neck twice a day can:
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve the overall appearance of your skin
- Protect your skin from environmental stressors known to cause skin aging

What is PREVAGE® MD?
Idebenone, found in PREVAGE® MD [1% Idebenone], is scientifically shown to be the most powerful antioxidant available in a skin care product today. PREVAGE® MD helps correct the skin damage that is already present and protects skin from future damage by environmental stressors known to cause skin aging including UV radiation, ozone, air pollution, cigarette smoke, and the aging process itself.
The antioxidative power of PREVAGE® MD anti-aging treatment has been shown to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as skin roughness and dryness, and to even skin tone to restore youthful-looking skin.
About Antioxidants
Free radical–mediated inflammatory pathways are caused by exposure to environmental stressors such as UV radiation, ozone, air pollution, and cigarette smoke, among others. These inflammatory pathways are characterized by the formation of free radicals, which are highly reactive molecules with unpaired electrons.
If they are left unchecked, free radicals can cause extensive damage to cell membranes, lipids, proteins, and DNA. They are also a major cause of skin aging. Because antioxidants scavenge and eliminate free radicals, they are able to counter the deleterious effects of the free radical–mediated inflammatory pathways promoted by oxidative stress.
Some examples of topical antioxidants that are used today include kinetin (used in Kinerase®), coenzyme Q10 (used in Q10 Plus Wrinkle Control products from Nivea®), lipoic acid (used in N.V. Perricone M.D. Cosmeceuticals®), vitamin C, vitamin E (used in many anti-aging products), and now idebenone, the most powerful antioxidant available for topical use and the active ingredient in PREVAGE® MD anti-aging treatment.
